Psychology of Eating

What Is the Psychology of Eating?

The new field of Psychology of Eating is an exciting and unique foundation for those who feel they need to be able to manage their weight in the “real world”.

Psychology of Eating is not psychotherapy or calorie counting. POE provides a foundation of understanding, of appetite, of body, of choices, and of self … the very basis of transformation.

POE allows us to view food and eating as our most essential understanding of our basic needs and desires. It is often the foundation or link to all of the elements of our world  – in our home, work, and social lives – personal goals, interpersonal relationships, sense of satisfaction, accomplishment, and worth.

Lisa Waldrep will explore with you your own unique psychology of eating, to establish a “clean plate” of thinking. Over time you will stop agonizing over confusing and conflicting information, stop beating yourself up over self-preserving decisions, learn to claim your victories over tired attitudes and platitudes about what you “should” be thinking.
